Eucalyptus oil is obtained from the Eucalyptus globulus variety. The oil is obtained by distilling the leaves and twigs of the tree. It has antibacterial and antiviral effects. It is used in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, catarrh, coughs, sinusitis and rheumatic pains.

Eucalyptus oil stimulates the immune mechanisms of the system. It relaxes bronchi, liquefies the accumulated mucous secretion and decongests the sinuses.
