Olbas Oil is a medicinal product containing various essential oils that help relieve symptoms associated with cold, sinusitis. The drug facilitates breathing, liquefies retained secretions and reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa.

Composition:

The active substances are: cajeput oil(Cajeputi oleum), clove oil(Caryophylli floris aetheroleum), eucalyptus oil (Eucalypti aetheroleum), juniper oil (Iuniperi aetheroleum), peppermint oil (Menthae arvensis aetheroleum), methyl salicylate (Methylis salicylas),menthol (Levomentholum).

Dosage:

This drug should always be used exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist.

• The drug to be used for vapor inhalation.
• Olbas Oil does not leave greasy stains, does not stain.

Inhalations:

Children over 7 years, adolescents and adults: sprinkle 2 - 3 drops on a handkerchief or the top of the hand and inhale the escaping vapor. The vaporizing effect can be enhanced by adding a few drops of the oil to a cup of warm (not hot) water.

Children from 3 to 7 years: sprinkle 2 -3 drops on a handkerchief, give to inhale from a short distance. For use at bedtime, sprinkle a piece of cloth with 2 - 3 drops of oil and place near the child, or sprinkle a comforter cover with 2-3 drops of oil.

Externally:

Adults: for rheumatic and muscular pains, rub a small amount of oil into the painful areas up to 3 times a day.

Action:

Olbas Oil contains various essential oils that act to help liquefy secretions, reduce the swelling of the nasal mucosa, and facilitate breathing when administered by inhalation. When applied externally to the skin, Olbas has a mild analgesic, cooling effect, relieving muscular and rheumatic pains.

Indications:

OlbasOil, depending on the route of administration, is indicated in:

- rhinitis, accompanying colds and supportively in sinus diseases (steam inhalation, free inhalation),

- rheumatic and muscular pain (externally).

Contraindications:

When not to use Olbas Oil:

- in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances of this drug,

- if the patient has been diagnosed with asthma, allergic diseases of the respiratory system,

- externally on atopic skin (with atopic dermatitis) or damaged skin.

Warnings and precautions:

- The drug is intended for inhalation for children from 3 years of age. Olbas Oil externally may only be used by adults.

- Do not use by vapor inhalation in children under 7 years of age Do not apply the product to the facial area of children.

- If dyspnea, fever or purulent discharge occurs during the use of Olbas Oil, contact a doctor.

- Do not use orally. Cayeput oil, a component of Olbas Oil, contains methyleugenol. Studies with oral ingestion of cayeput oil indicate that metabolites of methyleugenol may have mutagenic effects.

- Keep the drug out of reach and sight of children. Store at a temperature below 25 °C. After each use, carefully cap the bottle.

Use of other drugs:

Tell your doctor about all medicines, used by the patient now or recently, as well as about medicines that the patient plans to use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents:

Do not use in children under 3 years for inhalation.

Do not use by vapor inhalation in children under 7 years of age Do not apply to the facial area of children.

For external use on the skin only in adults.
