Raphacholin Forte is a drug containing composition of dehydrocholic acid with addition of black radish extract, which increases volume of the secreted bile (cholepoietic) and accelerates its transport to duodenum.
Composition
Active substance - dehydrocholic acid (acidum dehydrocholicum) - 250 mg.
Excipients: dry extract of black radish root (10-15:1): [native extract (20-30:1) 50%, maltodextrin 50%, extractant - water]
mint oil
microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, potato starch, povidone, colloidal silica anhydrous, talc, sodium lauryl sulphate, activated charcoal, Aqua Polish black 081.06 coating consisting of hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, talc, macrogol, iron oxide black (E 172), indigotine (E 132).
Dosage of
- in case of indigestion: adults orally 1 tablet after meals, if necessary the dose can be increased to 3 tablets daily.
- in case of constipation: adults 2 tablets once a day. Laxative effect is expected up to 6 hours.
Effects
Rapacholin Forte is a drug containing composition of dehydrocholic acid with addition of black radish extract, increasing volume of the secreted bile (cholepoietic) and accelerating its transport to duodenum. Increased amount of bile stimulates colon function and has osmotic effect, thus the product has mild laxative action.
Indications
The drug is applied in case of insufficient bile secretion by liver and indigestion manifested by flatulence, nausea, stomach aches, belching, constipation or as a mild laxative agent.
Contraindications
Contraindications for the use of the drug include: acute and chronic liver diseases, acute inflammatory states within the gastrointestinal tract, obstruction of bile ducts and gastrointestinal tract. Hypersensitivity to any of the drug components.
Undesired effects
The following may occur: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal complaints.
Warnings and precautions
In case of cholelithiasis, apply the drug only after consultation with a physician. In case of constipations, do not apply the drug for longer than a week without consultation with a physician. Do not exceed the dose of 6 tablets.
Do not apply the drug in children, during pregnancy and breast feeding.
No influence of Rapacholin Forte on the ability to drive vehicles and operate moving mechanisms has been found. Store the drug out of sight and reach of children.
