Dietary supplement supplementing deficiencies of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) contained in the preparation is essential for formation of teeth and bones, hemoglobin synthesis, formation of red blood cells and iron absorption; it also plays an important role in immune processes and wound healing. It helps remove free radicals from the body, which may protect against the development of atherosclerosis and cancer, as well as delay the aging process. Deficiencies of vitamin C may manifest, among other things: impairment of the body's defensive reactions, physical weakness, increased irritability, anemia, delayed wound healing, prolonged bleeding time, abnormal formation of connective and bone tissue, scurvy.

The preparation is indicated for use

- in states of increased demand for vitamin C (e.g. in prolonged infections, hyperthyroidism, burned persons and persons with alcohol disease)

- in states of vitamin C deficiency, which can occur in: smokers, people with kidney failure, long-term dialysis patients, convalescents, people who work hard physically and are exposed to low temperatures for a long time

- In supportive treatment of inflammatory and feverish states

- in periods of reduced immunity and in case of allergy

- preventively and supportively in the course of viral infections.

Ingredients:

l-ascorbic acid, sugar, rice starch, filling agent: cellulose, glazing agent: talc, binding agent: polyvinylpyrrolidone, filling agent: mannitol, glazing agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids, binding agent : polyethylene glycol, dye: titanium dioxide, anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide, thickening agent: acacia gum, dyes: quinoline yellow, orange yellow FCF, glazing agents: beeswax and carnauba wax.

Content of vitamin C in 1 tea-dish: 200 mg (250%*), in 2 tea-dishes (500%*) * % of recommended daily allowance

Recommended serving

In supplementation of deficiencies is usually used:

Children 2. to 11. years of age: 100-300 mg daily

Adults and adolescents 12 to 17 years of age: 300-500 mg daily

For the prevention of deficiencies, the usual dosage is 1 drachm per day. The preparation should be taken orally, regardless of meals

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a dry place out of the reach of children.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of the product ingredients. High doses (above 1g per day) should not be administered to people with oxalate kidney stones. The preparation can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, after consultation with a doctor.

The following drugs should be used with caution

- anticoagulants (ascorbic acid, increases their effect)

- iron (increases its absorption, sometimes this is a desirable interaction)

- acetylsalicylic acid (large doses of acetylsalicylic acid reduce plasma and platelet concentrations of vitamin C)

- flavonoids (these potentiate and prolong the effects of vitamin C).
