Description
Oral liquid, liquid for application on the skin, a complex product.
Composition
1 g of the drug contains active substances:
✔Mentholum (menthol) 17.23 mg
✔Citronellae aetheroleum (citronella oil) 1.00 mg
✔Caryophylli floris aetheroleum (clove oil) 1.00 mg
✔Cinnamomi zeylanici corticis aetheroleum (cinnamon oil) 2.40 mg
✔Limonis aetheroleum (lemon oil) 5.70 mg
✔Menthae piperitae aetheroleum (peppermint oil) 2.40 mg
✔Lavandulae aetheroleum (lavender oil) 2.40 mg
and excipients:
96 vol.% ethanol (638 mg), water.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
Externally for rubbing to improve bad mood:
Rub a small amount of the drug in undiluted form several times a day.
Externally to relieve discomfort after insect bites:
Rub the bite site with a cotton ball soaked in the drug in undiluted form.
Orally in digestive (dyspeptic) complaints:
From 10 to 15 drops of the drug with liquid or sugar, take ad hoc in case of discomfort, up to 3 times a day.
The drug should not be used under the dressing impeding access of air or in the form of compresses.
Effects
The drug effects result from the action of individual active substances.
Indications
Externally:
in order to improve the feeling of well-being, e.g. in the course of a cold (for rubbing), in headaches, muscle pains, in order to reduce the ailments after insect bites
Internally:
in digestive disorders (dyspeptic) e.g.: flatulence, indigestion.
Contraindications
The preparation of Amol must not be applied:
✔in case of hypersensitivity to any of the product components,
✔ in bronchial asthma and other respiratory tract diseases accompanied by strong hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract,
Internally:
✔biliary obstruction (e.g. in the course of cholelithiasis), cholecystitis,
✔ in people with chronic liver disease, in alcohol addicts.
Externally:
✔on damaged skin, e.g. in burns, eczema and open wounds, in skin diseases that proceed with rash, on mucous membranes and around the eyes.
Undesired effects
As every drug, Amol may cause undesired effects. In case of any undesired effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist.
Undesired effects are a result of action of particular oils. After application of the drug, as in case of all essential oils, symptoms of skin and mucous membranes irritation may intensify. Cough and bronchospasm may appear or worsen. Stomach symptoms may occur in sensitive individuals. Contact eczema and/or hypersensitivity reactions are likely to occur.
In such cases, discontinue use of the drug and contact your doctor. In case of other undesired effects not listed in this leaflet, inform your doctor or pharmacist about them.
Warnings and precautions
✔Store at room temperature.
✔Keep out of the reach of small children.
Use of other medicines
Tell your doctor about all medicines you are currently or recently taking or plan to take.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
During pregnancy and breast-feeding, consult your doctor before use.
The use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not apply in children younger than 12 years of age.
Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms
Because of ethanol content, the drug may affect central nervous system. Therefore, it is not recommended to drive and operate moving mechanisms after oral application of the drug.
