Validol is indicated for application in order to relieve states of nervous tension and anxiety.

Validol is used as an auxiliary agent in functional neuroses, in particular of cardiovascular system, neuro-vegetative disorders, migraine, spastic states of gastro-intestinal tract and in motion sickness. It is intended for adults.

Properties:

Validol is a tablet for sucking that shows sedative and spasmolytic effects. Isovaleric acid contained in the preparation inhibits the activity of cerebral cortex, which results in sedative and sleepy effects. Menthol causes sensation of freshness and hyperventilation by acting on cold receptors, thus exerting slightly tonic effects. Validol, thanks to the combined action of menthol and valerian acid, also has a weak diastolic effect on smooth muscles of the digestive tract.

Composition:

Active ingredients: mixture of menthol and methyl isovalerate.

Other ingredients: sucrose and calcium stearate.

Usage

Adults - orally 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum permissible daily dose is 200 mg. Tablets should be sucked between meals.

Contraindications:

Do not use the preparation:

▪️ with other sedative medications

Adverse effects:

The following adverse reactions may occur with prolonged use: local allergic reaction in the oral cavity, hypersensitivity reactions to menthol with symptoms of headache, bradycardia, muscle tremor, ataxia, anaphylactic shock, skin rash.

Warnings and Precautions:

Validol is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation. The preparation may have a slight influence on the ability to drive vehicles. Store in a cool, dark place.
